Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run MixTape. That includes:

• Account data: email address, phone number, and date of birth (to verify you are 13 or older).
• Profile info: your display name, username, avatar, and bio.
• Music selections: the songs, albums, artists, movies, and TV shows you pick as answers to daily questions.
• User-generated content: comments you leave, direct messages you send, and any photos you upload.
• Push notification tokens: so we can send you daily question reminders and streak alerts.
• Session data: basic analytics about how you use the app so we can fix bugs and improve features.

If you choose to upload your contacts to find friends, we hash phone numbers before they leave your device. We only store hashed values and use them to match you with people who have already joined MixTape. We never upload or store raw phone numbers from your address book.

Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted and audited.

We use Sentry, an error-reporting service, to find and fix problems in the app. When something goes wrong, Sentry receives technical details about the error (what failed and where, the type of device and operating system, and an internal account ID). It does not receive the content of your messages, answers or posts, your email address, your phone number, or your sign-in details.

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We do not share your information with third parties for marketing.
• We do not train AI models on your content.

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, answers, comments, and messages from our active systems.

You can also turn off push notifications in your device settings or in the MixTape Settings page.
